DocsConversion is free to use. No login or account is required.
Source files are deleted immediately after conversion. Converted files are kept only temporarily for secure download and are deleted after download or automatic cleanup.
DocsConversion may display advertising to support the free service. Advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies subject to consent settings.
Conversion quality depends on the original file. Clean text-based documents usually convert better than scanned, damaged, encrypted or unusually formatted files. PDFs can be especially difficult because they are designed for visual presentation rather than editing.
If formatting changes after conversion, review tables, page breaks, fonts, headers, footers, charts and images first. These are the areas most likely to need manual cleanup. For scanned images or screenshots, OCR can extract text but may not preserve exact layout.
Unsupported file types are rejected for security and reliability. If a file fails, check that it opens locally, has the correct extension, is not password-protected unless using an unlock workflow and is below the upload size limit.
Users should avoid uploading highly sensitive documents unless online processing is appropriate for that situation. Read the File Privacy and Conversion Quality pages before using the tools for important documents.
