Description of service
DocsConversion provides free online tools for converting PDF, Office, image and data files. The service is browser-based and does not require an account for normal use.
Free and ad-supported service
DocsConversion is currently free to use and may display advertising to support hosting, development and maintenance.
No account or subscription
Normal conversion tools do not require account registration, login, subscription or payment.
Acceptable use
Users must not:
- Upload illegal content
- Upload malware or harmful files
- Upload files they do not have permission to process
- Violate copyright, privacy or other rights
- Attempt to access files belonging to others
- Abuse, overload, scrape or attack the service
- Bypass rate limits or security systems
- Use automated tools in a way that damages stability
- Use the service for unlawful activity
Uploaded files and temporary processing
Files are processed temporarily to provide the requested conversion. Source files are deleted after conversion, and converted files are kept temporarily for download before being removed.
File limits and restrictions
DocsConversion may apply file size limits, file type restrictions, rate limits, conversion timeouts, abuse-prevention checks and temporary service restrictions. These limits may change to keep the service stable.
Conversion quality
Conversion results may not be perfect. Formatting may change. Complex layouts, scanned files, password-protected files, corrupted files, unusual fonts, tables, charts, images, macros and embedded objects can affect output quality.
Users are responsible for reviewing converted files before using them for important work.
No professional advice
DocsConversion is a file conversion utility. It does not provide legal, financial, medical, academic or professional advice.
User responsibility
Users are responsible for:
- Choosing the correct conversion tool
- Checking output accuracy
- Keeping their own backups
